Marri (Corymbia Calophylla), commonly referred to as West Australian Redgum is a Eucalyptus Hardwood which has similar strength and density features to that of Jarrah.
The Marri tree can be found in abundance in the South West regions of Western Australia in the Jarrah and Karri Forests, with trees growing to heights of up to 40 meters.
Marri timber is renowned for its distinctive gum veins and characteristics which make it one of the most unique timbers in the world and the perfect timber for creating fine handcrafted furniture.
Such characteristics are born from withstanding extreme weather conditions such as bushfires, severe storms and prolonged periods of drought.
The Marri timber used in the production of this product is ethically sourced from some of Australias largest and most reputable timber suppliers. Our suppliers are proactive and work closely with various government bodies to ensure the longevity and sustainability of this precious specie, as well as strictly abiding by forestry regulations and laws.
